A happiness jar is a great way to focus on positive thoughts and things that make you happy - then you can look back on all the notes you added at the end of the year and realise what a fabulous year it was! Mine already has some entries for this week and hoping it will overflow soon

#46 One year with Teddy

Pre-Teddy we had considered getting a dog but the timing never seemed right but it’s hard to think of life without her now. She has such a big personality although still quite small - the main photo is her at 8 weeks and 1 year. Don’t they say dogs are like their owners? Well she is fun, loving, has bundles of energy and is sometimes naughty so obviously that is true ;0). I have written a poem to make me think about the last 12 months with Teddy.

#39 Does counting down help us?

It’s the first day of December which means we start the official count down to Christmas. Why do we seem to always be counting down to something and does this go against the concept of living in the moment which is supposed to be so good for us? Particularly this year when many of our things to look forward to have had to extend slightly more than we would have hoped.

With the next full moon due on 30th November, this blog considers all the reported ways that the moon affects us - our mood, our reproduction, our tendency for violence and whether we are going to turn into a werewolf. The impact of the moon on our behaviour has always been steeped in myth and legend but whether true or not, a full moon is one of nature’s beautiful spectacles.
